the perfect spring nail

I love spring as much as the next girl; I especially love it when I can embody it through my nails. Yes, you heard right, my nails. This is the new Nails Inc 'Blossom' top coat. Isn't she beautiful?

The top coat is infused with little chunks of pink and silver glitter plus confetti, with the occasional barbie pink sequin. Layered over a baby pink nail varnish it just looks stunning. It reminds me of blossom tree's and every time I glance at my nails I'm reminded of spring. It's love.

polka dot paradise

Hi readers. It’s been a while hasn't it? I’ve been enjoying 10 days off work and spent the first weekend mainly browsing Pinterest in my jammies. Whilst I did, the decorating bug set in. We just rearranged our furniture in the bedroom which meant it felt much nicer and had more space and was dying for some attention. Pinterest is full of amazing pictures of decor that made me want to redecorate the entire flat but I settled on the bedroom. Originally the walls were pure white, which is good for taking photographs but too much at times. I ordered some gold polka dot decals from here after seeing this image. Next, I filled my shopping basket up with Primark goodies. The blue frame and both canvas are from Primark and were inexpensive. The candle is also from Primark and the adorable notebook from Tkmaxx. After this, I collected the white A4 frames from Ikea, and filled them with prints from Etsy, here and here. I’ve been loving Kate Spade recently (haul, anyone)? I think the gold accents in the room channel this nicely. The iMac is also a new purchase and I adore it so far… still a bit of a newbie though! The bedding is actually from Morrison's which amazed me, plus it only cost £12 for a king size! Bonus. This entire project has meant I adore our bedroom right now, I can’t wait to add some more details to it.

breakfast at tiffany's

Audrey Hepburn is one of the most beautiful, classy and elegant creatures to have ever graced this earth. Whilst watching Breakfast at Tiffany's it occured to me how amazing she really was, she made being naturally chic look effortless and she had that je ne se quois that so many of us aspire to. With that in mind I created a little wishlist inspired completely by breakfast at tiffany's, featuring the classic rollneck jumper and the trenchcoat that Audrey immortalized.

Casual-outfits - Audrey

Whilst I might not pull of one of these items as well as Audrey could have, I can really imagine her in the trenchcoat and floppy hat, with a ciggarette in hand, elegant until the end. Audrey Hepburn is definitely one of my style icons, and someone  I would love to emulate in all aspects of my life. I think I'll definitely buy the cropped jumper and hat, so that I can add some timeless pieces to my wardrobe and feel as chic as Audrey always looked.
